I highly recommend this attractive and functional iPad cover. All of my concerns about the potential fit and feel of an iPad cover were completely alleviated when this model arrived. First, the design allows you to slide the iPad in from the top and to secure it snugly with a folding tab. The cover permits complete access to all of the buttons, plug in and speaker ports, including the light-level detector at the 12 o’clock position of the iPad face, yet still protects the iPad well. Common to most of these cover designs, the corners are visible, but they seem to be adequately protected against accidental bumps by the bulk and stiffness of the front and back covers. The front cover can be folded in several ways to allow you to open it like a book, to fold it open like a magazine, and to prop up the iPad using the sturdy tab on the back cover, especially helpful if you are taking notes with it in your lap. The front closes tightly and appears held in place by one of more embedded magnets. There is no pen/stylus sleeve, and no pocket to keep any paper notes, but then, neither is really necessary with this device. As for the styling and quality, I give this cover very high marks. The stitching is very tidy and though the cover is not leather (I don’t think so anyway), such is the quality of the material that it certainly looks and feels like the real thing. It does add a little to the weight of the iPad, but not much to the profile. It still slides nicely into my briefcase and I feel more confident that it is, to a degree, protected from my occasional clumsiness. I very happy with it, and recommend it without reservation.
