   I bought this case for the HP Touchpad. I knew that the iPad and the Touchpad had the same physical dimensions and so I purchased this for the Touchpad. I was a little worried about fit, especially cut outs for the buttons and speakers. However when it arrived I put the Touchpad and everything worked like a dream. Speakers are even exposed so you can hear it. The problems that I see with the case are: The size of the case is bigger than i would like when folded The keyboard is not detachable, i was hoping for detachability, but no big deal the keyboard might have a limited life expectancy (meaning battery may not hold charge, or keys start sticking, or buttons break) but we shall see. Those are it! All these recent Touchpad owners can buy this case with confidence that it will work for you. I am really pleased with it and look forward to porting my Touchpad to run Android soon! Oh and there is always this little gold nugget I figured out soon after opening the package, the charger for the case battery is the same connection as the HP Touchpad. This means i now have two cables i can use for the Touchpad or the case – FTW

   I bought this keyboard case to use with my HP Touchpad based strictly on Mitchell’s review below. I just received my Breed iPad 1 Keyboard Ctrl Case and can confirm that it works great with the HP Touchpad. Unfortunately, it looks like the secret is out, and the price has almost doubled since I bought mine at $29 shipped. Since there are so many other heavily discounted iPad 1 keyboard cases out there, I would check others first. Although I like this case, I would not have bought it at $54. IMPORTANT: The instructions for pairing the keyboard are severely lacking, and written specifically for iPad users. In order to pair the keyboard with a Touchpad, you will need to: 1) Enter any 4-digit number code (EX: 1234) when requested by the Touchpad, then hit enter 2) Then, quickly enter the same 4-digit number code on the Bluetooth Keyboard and hit enter. It took me over an hour to figure this out. On iPads, the iPad specifies a 4-digit number code to be entered on the bluetooth keyboard. Very different. PROS: -As confirmed by Mitchell, The Touchpad fits into the casing very nicely. Speakers, volume rocker, power button and front buttons are all exposed. -Keyboard is responsive and rubberized. Seems splashproof & durable. -The power plug/usb cable is compatible w/ the Touchpad/Pre/Pixi. Very convenient to have an additional plug for your webos devices. -There is a button on the top right corner that prompts the card view, which is very useful. -At $29, this was a steal. At $54, not so much. -Looks slick. Black leather with green stitching (not visible in photos). Very nice looking case. -Magnetic flap enclosure keeps the case closed when travelling. This is an important detail, as this was one of the biggest gripes with the official HP case. CONS: -The bottom panel is not accessible for swipe gestures. Not a huge problem, since there is a button that prompts card view. -The leather frame of the case goes up all the way to the edge of the screen, making it difficult to touch the bottom of the touchscreen when you need to. This can probably be resolved with a small foam insert. I plan on trying this today. -Build quality seems just average. No problems after a few hours of use, but the stiff parts of the case seem to be made out of cardboard, and feels less than durable. The flap that secures the top of the case in place definitely feels like it will wear out quickly, since I take the Touchpad out every night to charge on my Touchstone. -Goofy documentation and packaging. Not a big deal at all, but annoying enough to mention that this product’s packaging and documentation suffers from some apallingly unfunny copywriting.

   This is one great product. It makes typing on my iPad so much easier and it feels more natural than the onscreen keyboard. My only complaint with this product it doesn’t have a right side shift key. Other than that, it’s a perfect addition to my iPad.
